Biography
I have always been fascinated by the various fields of science and their unknowns. Chief among my interests being Physics and Neurobiology. Aside from that I also am also very involved in my school and local communities. I am a member of the Interact Club, the Junior Achievement Program, the Newspaper Committee and although I don't get to nearly enough, I love to fence as well. My main interest in life is probably aviation though and I truly love everything about it. Last summer I was one of a small group of Cadets who receive their Private Pilot's License during an 8 week summer training course. This coupled with my interest in Engineering and Aerospace in general, has dominated my career interests and is the reason why I would like to become an aerospace engineer as well as a Commercial pilot, just for fun, of course. Between my involvement in science fairs and aviation, I don't have much free time left, but when I do get have some time to myself, I love to read, play video games, listen to music and of course, spend time with my friends.

Abstract:My project, Tea as an Aid in Neuronal Growth, is looking for chemicals commonly found in tea that may aid or increase the growth of vertebrate nervous system cells. One chemical, EGCG shows promise for this, and may have applications ranging from treating and preventing ALS to aiding and stimulating nerve regeneration.
