Biography
My name is Julia, I am in Grade Seven, and I am on the Student Council. Right now I am aiming to go into University of Victoria and take part in their writing program. I am interested in pursuing either a journalism career, or a career as an author writing fiction based stories. I like to write horror or fantasy type stories, and I like anything that includes literature, though in my classes I do better in Math and Science. Luckily some of my teachers say, that even though I am in junior high, my writing could compete with someone in senior.

Abstract:This project analyzed whether a person’s pessimistic or optimistic outlook on life can influence their ability to differentiate between authentic and non-authentic smiles. Through an online investigation, subjects chose their outlook on life on a sliding scale, with 1 being optimistic and 7 being pessimistic. Results showed that a subject's outlook on life does not influence their ability to differentiate between authentic and non-authentic smiles.
