Biography
Hi my name is Lukas McConechy. I am a fifteen year old grade nine student at Carlton Comprehensive High School in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. In my free time I like to play lots of sports. Football, Basketball, Hockey and Rugby are among my favorites. I love the outdoors and enjoy hunting, hiking and fishing. Some of my hobbies include fixing up my 1990 GMC Sierra and playing guitar. I plan to attend the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon when I graduate from high school. I am not sure what I will be specializing in yet but I am interested in Kinesiology, Engineering and Biology. I am thankful for this opportunity to attend the National Science Fair in Toronto. All the best! AND GO RIDERS GO!

Physics of a Tackle
Challenge:Health
Category:Intermediate
Region:Prince Albert & Northeast Saskatchewan
City:Prince Albert, SK
School:Carlton Comprehensive High School
Abstract:My project was to find which physics are involved in a football tackle. I used a lot of research, prior knowledge and game footage to find my results. After making an equation for calculating the initial impact of a hit, I could draw the conclusion that the physics of a tackle are momentum, thrust, leverage, and the position of your center of gravity.
