Abstract:Through a cell survival assay and a confocal laser scanning microscope analysis, we tested the effects of five different Newfoundland berries on cell survival after PC12 cells were exposed to oxidative stress (H2O2). As a result of these two experiments we discovered that two berries in particular (blackberries and squashberries) had a positive effect on the recovery of cells after oxidative stress.
