Abstract:My project tested how age affects people's mechanoreceptors; a type of sensory receptors that detects touch. To do this, I placed a dot on a person's arm with a pen and without looking, they would try to locate the dot with another pen. After comparing my results for each grade, I came to the conclusion that there is no trend according to age for mechanoreceptors.
