Biographie
My name is Hwan Hee Son. I go to St.Malachy's Memorial High School which is located in Saint John, NB, and I'm in grade 12. This is my 4th year and last year of science fair. Over the past 4 years, I've always attended the regional science fair, but I've never got a chance to go to Canada wide science fair! It's a great honour to be selected to attend the Canada wide science fair this year. Participating in science fairs actually have inspired me to pursue a career in science because I know that contentment and pride I feel after the fairs are tremendous. For me, science fair is the most important events during the school year. I have been volunteering and working at Chateau de Champlain, Holiday retirement residence, for almost three years. Chateau de Champlain is like my second home. I have become closer and closer with the residents — and more importantly — I have become a part of their lives. I work as a peer tutor at my school, and help grade 10 and 11 students to finish their math homework. I'm a teen volunteer at NB public libary.

High Heels and their Negative Effects on Our Body
Défi:Santé
Catégorie:Sénior
Région:Fundy
Ville:Saint John, NB
École:St. Malachy's Memorial High School
Sommaire:Through this project, I understood the effects of the high heels on our body using the concepts of physics. I proved that wearing high heels strained the spine through the observation of the slight change of the spine steepness, and through the calculation of the force applied and the power required for feet, the excessive fatigue that people experienced after wearing high heels was explained.
