Biographie
Hello, my name is Zeel and I'm a grade nine student attending my second year at the CWSF. I have been involved in science fairs for 6 consecutive years, collecting many awards for my hard work. I am excited to be at this event and to be exposed to many facets of science and technology. I plan on taking my interest in science further to my university studies. I love playing many sports, including soccer, basketball, badminton, and volleyball. I have been in a total of 8 school sport teams, in which my team has always placed in the gold medal spot throughout our regional tournaments. Alongside these efforts, I am a member of Infinity Robotics, which is our local robotics team that has qualified to represent Canada at the international level in and extremely competitive robotics competition. Another prestigious award I was recognized with is the CEMC Mathematics Award for Excellence in the University Of Waterloo Math Competition. I spent a good chunk of my summer volunteering around my community. I hope to pursue a career in medicine and continue to contribute to society in a positive way. Between science, sports and everything else, time sure goes by!

Computer-Aided Discovery Of Novel Invadopodia Inhibitors To Prevent Metastasis
Défi:Santé
Catégorie:Intermédiaire
Région:Wood Buffalo
Ville:Fort McMurray, AB
École:École McTavish Junior High
Sommaire:The disease everyone knows; and even more people fear: Cancer. It takes millions of lives every year, the majority of cancer related deaths are due to metastasis. This movement is what I targeted; using a novel approach to accelerate the genetic engineering process I was able to discover novel compounds targeting a metastasis organelle named "Invadopodia" and it's protein MT1-MMP, ultimately fighting cancer.
