Biographies
Kaylee - My name is Kaylee Desjarlais. I'm from Ebb and Flow First Nation, Manitoba. I'm in grade 7 at Ebb and Flow School, I participate in volleyball. I have been participating in Science Fair since grade 4. With our current Science Fair Project 'Preference Bias', we won gold at the MFNERC Science Fair. We also won gold and Best Group Biological Sciences Project Award Junior Level at Manitoba Schools Science Symposium.
Trinity - My name is Trinity Desjarlais. I'm from Ebb and Flow First Nation, Manitoba. I'm in Grade 7 at Ebb and Flow School. I participate in volleyball, baseball, basketball, and ball hockey. This is my second Science Fair Project, with our current Science Fair Project 'Preference Bias' , we won gold at the MFNERC Science Fair. We also won gold and Best Group biological Sciences Project Award Junior Level at Manitoba Schools Science Symposium.

Abstract:We conducted an experiment to investigate if our preferences bias decision making as we age. We asked 20 subjects from three different age groups to pick 20 Smarties from a large bowl of 50 Smarties of the eight different colours. Then, we asked them their favourite colour. We collected the data to determine whether the subjects were more likely to pick their favourite colour Smarties.
