| My name is Dane Gall and I come from a farm near Nampa Alberta and I attend school at Glenmary in Peace River. On my free time I enjoy playing hockey, badminton and farming. My plan when I finish high school is to got to U of A and become an engineer of either chemical or mechanical. My science fair project is called the Crop saver and I got this idea from me having a tough time trying to combine wheat that had fallen flat on the ground and the lifters that we were using were picking up dirt and that caused a lot of downtime and ruined the grain, loosing our farm lots of money. So that's when I came up with the crop saver! My further investigation is to build more lifters for different crops than just wheat and peas. My advice for other students that wan't to start a project is to not overthink it and just find something you really like to do, it doesn't have to be ground breaking. It could just be a simple idea that helps other people in today's society. |
