Biographie
My name is Jennifer Wilson and I am a grade 10 student at Ancaster High School. I enjoy participating in many extra-curricular activities in and out of school and like to spend time with my friends and family. Some of my strengths in extra-curricular activities include running, swimming, water polo and figure skating. Volunteering is also something that I enjoy and I try to incorporate my love for sports with my volunteer work. I also enjoy hobbies such as camping and hiking. I excel in certain subject areas such as science and math and have enjoyed participating in the science fair this year. My future goals for post-secondary education are to major in a course that is science related and continue to maintain my love for sports.

The Performance of Structures During Earthquakes
Défi:Ressources
Catégorie:Intermédiaire
Région:Bay Area
Ville:Ancaster, ON
École:Ancaster H.S.
Sommaire:This project examined the qualities that make some brick buildings more earthquake resistant than others. Small-scale models of brick walls were tested with varying amounts of reinforcement and amplitudes of shaking. The results proved that a small amount of reinforcement goes a long way when trying to prevent earthquake damage and that small reinforced brick building walls perform better than taller walls.
