ESPC 2009 - Winnipeg (Manitoba)

Biographie
I am in grade seven in a late french immersion program. I am on the student council and in the improv club. In the summer I compete in triathlons with the Kids of Steel. I compete for Skate Winnipeg and have been in their Starskate program for the past two years. This year I got to compete at the Manitoba Starskate Provincial Championships where I received the silver medal. I have played piano for the past 9 years and am currently in the Royal Conservatory of Music, Grade 7. In grade 4 I entered the Invent An Alien competition, where I achieved a gold standing. In grade 5 I started to create science fair projects and received a gold medal at Winnipeg Schools and MSSS, as well as the best biological project at the elementary level. In grade 6 I also achieved 2 gold medals and won best overall project at Winnipeg Schools and MSSS at the elementary level. I like spending time with my friends, computers and gaming. In the future I know I will go into science at University!

Much Ado About Garbage...The Biogas Edition

Sommaire:I used three slurries: manure and water, compost and water and compost, manure and water to try and produce usable energy from garbage. I took the gases I produced to a lab to be tested. I did in fact produce methane and have shown that you can use more than manure to produce a working biogas generator.
