Biography
Meghan Bouvier has lived all her life in Whitehorse, Yukon and has one sister, Katie. Meghan and her family have had the opportunity to travel to many interesting locations throughout North America. Meghan loves to be active particularly outdoors and plans on pursing alternative outdoor education and experiential science classes offered in high school. She enjoys downhill and cross-country skiing, biking, fishing and camping. Meghan takes dance lessons with her focus being on ballet. Meghan would like to attend University in British Columbia to study Education.

Abstract:This project demonstrates the principle of regelation which is the melting of ice under pressure, and immediate refreezing. It is an interesting phenomenon which explains how many things work in the icy north of Canada. It is involved in skating, making snowballs, building issues with permafrost and the surging of glaciers.
