Biographies
Aliyah - My name is Aliyah Bryant. I'm in grade eight. I enjoy the arts, science, the outdoors, and French. I can play the clarinet and I'm currently learning how to play the piano and the guitar. My future ambition is to be a singer, designer, or a scientist. Someday I would like to go to the University of Windsor. They specialize in everything I love and I would still have the benefits of staying in Canada. I also enjoy camping with my family. I love to learn new things each and every day. That's why I love school!
Emma - My name is Emma Robertson. I am a grade 7 honours student at Sir Wilfrid Laurier School in Hamilton. I live in Hamilton with my mom and dad, my two younger sisters and our puppy Zoe. My favourite subjects in school are science and history. My school organizations are the science club, Me to We club, the swim team and baseball team. My extracurricular activities include reading, a seasonal baseball team and karate where I am a red belt. My favourite television show is Criminal Minds and my favourite movies are all of the Harry Potter series (I own them all). When I grow up I’d like to pursue a career in science, possibly as a Doctor or Veterinarian.

Abstract:The objective of this project was to document the effects of eight different drugs on the heart rate of Daphnia. We used a consistent testing environment to ensure accuracy. The results were mostly consistent with our expectations with the exception of Red Bull which initially caused the heart rate to spike followed by a quick decline.
