Biography
My name is Jenna D'Aurizio. I am currently in grade 8 and enjoy participating in a variety of sports, including coaching young athletes, as well as performing with the school concert band. I am also involved with organizing many of the athletic and social events at my school as a member of many different councils. Outside of school I play competitive soccer and ref house-league. I love writing poetry and sitting down with a good book. I am excited and honoured to be representing the Bay Area at CWSF for the second consecutive year!

Region:Bay Area
City:Oakville, ON
School:W. H. Morden Public School
Abstract:My experiment was designed to monitor the effects of altering soil-water content on the efficiency of microbial fuel cells. I measured the voltage of three buckets of soil, each with differentiating soil-water content levels. Results showed that greater soil-water content levels produced higher voltage that lasted longer. Applications include an alternative energy source for Third World countries because the resources necessary are inexpensive and accessible.
