Biography
My name is Sage Cherevaty. I live in Thompson, Manitoba and I go to Riverside School. I speak both French and English. I have a lot of friends and my best friend is Dane Wanke. I am involved in school volleyball, competitive curling, swimming and soccer. I love to read books of romance, adventures and fantasy and I also love to write stories. Currently, I am writing a novel called 'Life in the Forest'. When I'm older, I want to be an architect, someone who designs houses. Some awards I have received are: 'Best Effort' for soccer; three 'Merit Awards' for the arts festival; a silver medal for 2011 NMRSF; a gold, special award and a best in fair this year at the TCWSF and at the NMRSF I got gold, Best Overall Life Science and Best in Fair. I am interested in plants/herbs so I decided to find out which light bulb would work best to grow plants. For further investigation, I would build and compare different designs of green houses that use Incandescent and LED light. My advice would be to do experiments that can be shown in person because it makes a more interesting display.

Abstract:The objective was to find out what type of light bulb worked the best to grow plants. The light bulbs tested were LED, halogen, fluorescent and incandescent on basil and mint plants, which were measured daily. The hypothesis was that LED would work the best but results from the analysed data showed that the incandescent light bulb was the best light to grow plants.
