Biographie
My name is Matthew Stan. I am thirteen, in grade seven and I live in Wakaw, Saskatchewan, which is a small town of about one thousand people. I enjoy sports including hockey, track and field, volleyball, fastball, badminton, cross-country running, and water sports. I take piano and guitar lessons, and am involved in SRC and drama at my school. My future plans are to attend to the University of Saskatchewan and pursue a career in law or medicine. This is my first year at Canada-Wide Science Fair and I am honoured to represent my school in the Fair. The inspiration for my project, "Now.... Where Did I Put My Comb?" came to me during a family meal when I was teasing my Dad about his thinning hair. We discussed a family friend who had a full head of hair, yet had memory loss, and the idea to investigate any correlation came to me then.

Sommaire:A casual comment at the supper table led me to investigate the relation between baldness in men and memory-loss disorders. I developed a survey method, baldness rating scale and looked for a correlation between baldness and memory loss. My findings are significant enough to warrant further study - my investigation shows a possibility of correlation between having more hair and memory loss in men.
