David - The inspiration for my project came from my interest in medicine and health science. In order to further my research, I would continue experimenting and learning more about various topics such as biotechnologies. In addition, for any student interested in starting a science fair project, i suggest finding a topic or idea that genuinely interests you. Also, a science fair project is always more interesting if it helps the world and contributes to society in a certain way. Personally, I study at Herzliah High School in Montreal, I often help my community by volunteering at soup kitchens and I have had certain summer jobs around the city as well. In the future, I am interested in becoming a neurologist or a neurosurgeon.
Eran - My inspiration for this project was my interest in cardiovascular diseases and conditions. In the future, I wish to further my research and continue my experimentation by in vivo tests on living organisms such as rats. To any student interested in doing a science fair project, I suggest that the student chooses a topic that compels them, and remember not to give up even after multiple failed attempts. I wish to pursue a career in medicine, more specifically radiology or anesthesiology. I am also very much interested in toxicology. This summer I am going to volunteer at the Jewish General Hospital of Montreal.

Abstract:In our experiment, we will be testing if a mixture of three fatty acids in specific ratios will be able to increase the size of mammalian cardiomyocytes. If the cells expand, we will know that this blend of lipids could potentially be used as a remedy against certain cardiovascular diseases such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and hypertension.
