Biography
My name is Nikki Sauvé and I am a grade twelve student at Lillooet Secondary School. This is my second Science Fair and I am excited to attend, as I love travelling and meeting new people. I like to keep busy and I am in various after school activities including, track, badminton, volleyball, and library club. Also, I run the grad council and am the coordinator of the Summer Reading Program at the public library. I am very passionate about literacy and science. Dangerous chemicals fascinate me, hence my project dealing with arsenic! I wish all of my fellow participants at CWSF 2013, good luck!

Arsenic in Produce: Part II
Challenge:Environment
Category:Senior
Region:Cariboo Mainline
City:Lillooet, BC
School:Lillooet Secondary
Abstract:How safe is “organic” produce? The purpose of my project was to determine if agricultural areas that produce mass amounts of produce in my town have arsenic in their irrigation water and if so how much arsenic (in ppb) transfers into the produce. Through research, conducting interviews, and my own independent testing I arrived at a conclusion.
