Biographie
I go to Appleby College in Oakville. I enjoy hunting, skiing, volleyball, and drawing. The inspiration for my project was my mom's friend who is vision impaired. He uses a dog guide as a source of his navigation. I though that even though dogs are highly trained, dogs are still dogs, and something can go wrong any minute. So I was inspired to make a device for the vision impaired that would be easier and safer to use. I hope to work more on the model I've made, and improve it. To those thinking about making a project, think of something you're passionate about, and make it come to life.

Sommaire:This project is to help visually impaired people to navigate. An ultrasound cane was made using electronic components that make a sound when an obstacle is detected. A number of blindfolded people had to pass an obstacle course using a regular and the ultrasound canes. According to the time and amount of fault hits recorded the ultrasound cane was found more accurate, and safer.
