Biographies
Hannah - I am Hannah Cutler, a grade eight student at William Beatty Public School in Parry Sound Ontario. My favourite past-times are playing the saxophone, practicing ballet, reading mystery novels, cross-country skiing and swimming. Subjects I enjoy include science, French and music. In the future I am interested in studying the epidemiology of diseases. Our science project, 'Eye See the Light',has taught me about the complexity and amazing abilities of our eyes. The only advice I can give to student's thinking about doing a project is to plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time.
Liam Harrison - My name is Liam Marshall, I am twelve years old and in grade seven at William Beatty public school in Parry Sound, Ontario. I enjoy multiple clubs and sports such as, Competitive hockey and cross-country skiing, soccer, baseball, and many other school sports. I got my project idea when I was driving in a car and I noticed how bright the streetlights were.

Sommaire:The purpose of our project was to determine whether different light sources caused different amounts of stress upon the human eye. This was measured by comparing the photo stress recovery time of 4 different light sources of equal wattage with twelve human subjects. The LED source had the longest recovery with the compact fluorescent, the shortest.
