Biography
Jared Poole is a grade eight student at Greenbank Middle School in Ottawa. He was inspired to build this project after he saw the Iron Man films in September. He plans to continue building robotic exoskeletons and creating other electronic/mechanic devices. He is heavily involved in community and school events. For example, he enjoy volunteering his time as tech guy, running events for both groups. He is an active participant in many leadership programs such as Beyond The Hurt, an anti bullying campaign offered by the Red Cross. Jared occupies his spare time with diving, soccer and enjoying the outdoors. However, Jared's overall passion remains with learning new things and applying this knowledge in areas of science and engineering. Longer term, he hopes to attend a Canadian university and seek a dual degree in electrical and mechanical engineering. This will hopefully lead to a career as a robotics engineer. For anyone thinking about the science fair, Jared truly believes that the best way to succeed is to follow your dreams wherever they take you.
