Biographies
Tristen - I attend grade 9 and live on a farm in Saskatchewan. My family and I have 25 cows and I am involved in the 4-H beef program. I have won grand champion steer in my club and have many interests and love to keep busy! I am involved in competitive speed skating and am currently on the developmental long track team for the Canada Games. I attended the Canada long track championships in Manitoba and Western Canada short track championships in Alberta this year. I play high school rugby in the spring and am hoping to play on the Saskatchewan team this summer. I have many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, paintballing and building. I enjoy tinkering on my farm and going for walks in the country. My inspiration for this project came from past projects where my partner and I worked on greener forms of transportation. Plans to further our investigations include researching different blade designs and maximize the stator to increase efficiency. Students doing a science fair project should do a project they are truly passionate about. Make sure to start early and collect as much data as they can and have fun!
Shelton - I attend grade 9 in Saskatchewan and live on an acreage. I enjoy the outdoors. Some of my hobbies are hunting, fishing, playing hockey at home with my friends and paintballing. I enjoy inventing and building things. I find music and playing the guitar enjoyable. Because of this I have won many trophies playing piano for eight years. My math class attended the SMTS Provincial Math Challenge at the University of Regina and I placed 10th in the individual round and my team placed 2nd and 3rd. Athletics make up a big part of my life and I play receiver in high school football and played for the city football team last year. In the past my partner and I worked on projects that experimented with greener forms of transportation and decided to take it to the next level. Further investigations would include researching different blade designs and further experiments with the stator to increase it's efficiency. students doing a science fair project should start early and do as much research and collect as much data as they can. Find something you are passionate about and you will be surprised where it will take you!
