Biographie
I am Elizabeth Schulz and I am in grade eight. I maintain 4.0 honours and last year, I achieved Scholar of the Year. I have participated in Science Fairs since Grade 4. I have earned four gold medals and one silver and numerous awards. This year, my project won Best in Show, the UNBC Mathematics and Statistics Award and the Community Enhancement Award at the CISE. I’m thrilled to be attending CWSF for the first time. I live in a small community that surrounds a lake and I enjoy water sports. The results of this year’s project have inspired me to continue this investigation so that swimmer’s itch will be less likely to occur at recreational lakesides. In school, I am part of Student Leadership and each winter I join the curling club. I also am an active member of a Youth Group and organize fundraising events to help children in developing countries. I play piano and am in Gr. 6 of the RCM Program and have two students of my own. My advice for students considering a science fair project is to give yourself lots of time, research and talk to people. I hope to become a Secondary Teacher.
