Biographies
Emiliano - My name is Emiliano Aguilar and I live in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where I attend 9th grade at Instituto Peninsular. I´m honored to say that I have earned a spot on the honor role for the past 5 years. My first inspiration for Star Track: Dark Side of the Stars came from my deep interest in our spatial atmosphere, but specifically towards black holes and stars within our galaxy. For future investigations, I´d love to study details regarding the Theory of M. As a rather new scientific topic attracting much interest within the scientific world, I feel that there is a great amount of information to be learned on this theory. As a science lover, I recommend other students to open their minds and research any scientific topics of interest. It is important to be curious about the world surrounding us, as well as understand and practice the process of scientific concepts and investigations. I strongly believe that science experiments are beneficial for all students, providing hands on learning and exploration.
Camila - My name is Camila Cortez Lizarraga, I was born in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. I enjoy reading and playing sports aside from school. I hope to study International Law, and help people one day. In this science fair, we are going to talk about the life cycle of stars. We came to this topic, honestly, on sheer luck. I knew I wanted to talk about space, and one day I had a question about stars, when researching that, I stumbled onto other things, which showed me an entire topic that almost no one knew about. We have very much enjoyed getting to tell people about this and plan to keep doing it, even outside of school related activities. What we realized is that, the reason we connected with so many poeple is the fact that we, not only understood, but liked the topic we were explaning. Therefore, our energy latched onto others and motivated them to wanting to learn more. I think that is what I'd recommend to anyone thinking to develop a project, that they enjoy what they are talking about. I hope our love for space reaches our audience and hopefully becomes a love they have as well.
