Biographies
Raquel - I am a 15 year old Grade 10 student at Abbotsford Traditional Secondary School. I enjoy reading, writing, photography, music, and soccer. My community soccer team placed first in our league this year, and I've played piano for a long time. I adore my friends and love ice cream and strawberries. My favourite colour is purple and my favourite movie is Pride and Prejudice. I play trumpet in our school band, and I participated in our musical theatre production of Beauty and the Beast this year. I love flowers and gardening. I plan to become an English or French teacher after graduating, as well as a missionary and florist. I've won several awards in public speaking, sports (as a team) and academics.
Jasmine - My names is Jasmine Thompson. I'm 16 years old, and in grade 10 attending the Abbotsford Traditional Secondary school in British Columbia. I have been on the Hounour role 4 years in a row, and have been very successful with my studies. I am deeply involved in school activities like Musical Theatre, and on various sports teams. Most of my hobbies and interests are mostly sport and musical related, I enjoy playing the piano, but I also like photography. When I graduate from high school, I'm not sure what I want to achieve, but so far I have been leaning towards the Media Arts.

Abstract:This project was trying to answer: “Will various brands of biodegradable bags in a composting facility biodegrade within three weeks? It was predicted that the bags would show signs of degradation, although they would have some residue. Five brands of biodegradable bags and a control bag were placed in composting pile and monitored weekly. The rate of biodegradation was measured on a scale of 1-10.
