Biographies
Kaitlin - Hi, my name is Kaitlin. I am in grade 8 and I participate at school in SRC, KBC, yearbook, basketball and band. In community activities I participate in dance. Outside of school, I take piano and guitar lessons. I love to read, knit, do needlework, play badminton and basketball, play music, camp and bike in the summer. I have won an over 90% average award, 2 gold medals at the Regional Science fair and 1 bronze medal at Nationals last year.
Lauren - My name is Lauren Levorson-Wong. I am a Grade 8 student at O.M. Irwin Middle Years School in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. I was born in Kingston, Ontario. I enjoy piano, guitar, double bass, clarinet, fencing, drama and swimming. I am working on my RCM Grade 6 piano. I placed First in two categories for clarinet in the Sask. Music Festival . I was a member of Girl Guides for five years. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, making jewellery, writing poetry, and composing music. I hope to be a lifeguard in high school and a Music for Young Children teacher in university. I would like to pursue a career as a business consultant, an economist, a politician, or a teacher. Last year my project won a bronze medal in Toronto. I play the double bass in band and jazz band, and I love fencing.

Abstract:Magnetized wheat and lentil seeds were grown to harvest and compared to a control group. The seed mass from magnetized wheat plants was 26.32% greater; the dry matter from magnetized wheat and lentil seeds was 17.42% and 6.25% greater, respectively, than the plants from the control groups. The magnetized lentils were more developed, and the magnetized wheat had a higher incidence of double wheat heads.
