Biographie
My name is Josie Mielhausen and I am a grade 9 student at Bruce Peninsula District School. I live in Lion's Head Ontario, which is part of the Niagara Escarpment surrounded by the waters of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. I live with my family on a beef farm. I represent my school by competing in cross-country running, badminton, golf, volleyball, tennis, Nordic skiing, track and field, Envirothon, public speaking and Science and Technology fairs. Over the years, I have earned one bronze and five gold medals, as well as numerous special awards when competing in Science Fairs. This is my third CWSF; I have achieved an honorable mention and bronze medal with my previous projects. I am a member of the Bruce Peninsula Environmental Group and the Lion’s Head Transition Town. I work as a dental assistant at the North Bruce Dental office. In the summer I enjoy swimming, kayaking, canoeing, boating, tubing and jet skiing. I enjoy reading, traveling and attending school. I love spending time with my friends and family.
