Fiona Weaver is a grade nine honour student at Almaguin Highlands Secondary School. She lives in South River, Ontario. Her favourite subjects are math, gym and science. She enjoys sports and plays on several school teams. Hockey is the sport she is most dedicated to and she is the goalie on an all girls team. She is a member of the AHSS School Council and participates in many extra school activities. This is Fiona’s third year participating in science fairs. The idea for this project came to her while visiting her grandfather in the hospital.She is very excited and honoured to have the opportunity to attend the CWSF in PEI.She encourages all students to do science projects as it allows you to be creative and study a part of science that really interests you. |

With this increased use come issues of where people use their phones and how they take care of them. For this experiment, I tested cell phones to see if they were contaminated with bacteria before and after exposing them to UV light. |
