Biography
I am a grade 9 student from Yale Secondary in Abbotsford, B.C. I play piano and violin. Some interesting facts about me include that my violin group toured Scotland in 2008, and I have an A.R.C.T teacher's diploma in piano. Besides teaching and coaching piano part-time, I also do clerical work in an educational learning centre. I like to work with children. Origami is a favorite hobby of mine as I like arts and crafts. I have collections of coins, stamps, and musical instruments. So far I have a harmonica, guitar, several ocarinas, and I am working towards my own electrical violin. I also love to travel. I have been to England, North Ireland, China, Scotland, Hong Kong and California. I plan on becoming a pharmacist and a dentist when I grow up.

Abstract:This project is a comparison between cancer cures used in Western and Eastern (as of Asia) countries. Western methods described include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, hyperthermia, surgery, and immunotherapy. As herbal remedies are used more regularly in Asia, the herbs used to treat cancer are fungi such as Maitake, Shiitake, and Reishi. An introduction about cancer as well as my conclusion is also included.
