Biography
My name is Arbind Dhaliwal and I attend Dasmesh Punjabi School in Abbotsford, B.C. Besides being an avid science lover I'm a great fan of basketball and have been chosen as part of the school basketball team. I believe, it is in giving that one receives so I have volunteered with young students by conducting interesting scientific experiments with them, in the school’s “Vector Science Club”. Additionally,I work with little children in grade 1 through the “Buddy Reading Program”. This focuses on improving their reading skills from a young age. I’m also going to start volunteering in the local hospital and cancer center soon. I believe that not everything should revolve around work; staying involved in physical and interactive activities is just as important. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. Swimming, sketching, painting and spending time outdoors are my other interests. The future is definitely what I’m looking forward to. My career plans are to become a neurologist or a cardiologist. But, also at the same time to become a better person who cares for the society she lives in. I hope to make the world around me better, and grow as an individual myself.

For Want of a Cup...

Abstract:My project is “For want of a Cup”. This project outlines the environmental concerns caused by the paper coffee cups we drink our coffee in. The biggest problem is that most of these coffee cups can’t be recycled & end up in landfills! There they take 150 years to decompose and release harmful toxicants into the atmosphere. These cups are contributing to global warming.
