Biography
My name is Corin Acton. I live in Ogema Saskatchewan and go to Ogema School. I participate in Intramural Curling and curl in a Regina Youth League. I am also a member of the Ogema 4-H beef club. I collect Rubiks cubes and solve them in my free time. I am also an amateur programmer and I program games and other programs in Java. I got the inspiration for my project from my school last year. Half of my schools population are newcomers to Canada so I set out to make a game to teach kids how to dress in different weather in Canada. This year I am making games to teach kids how to use Canadian currency. My advice to other students is to find an idea that you can build on. If your project can be expanded on you can do that project again but better the next year. That way you waste no time finding a project but can instantly jump into making the project.

Abstract:I programmed three games to teach kids new to Canada how to dress for the weather and how to use Canadian money. This is important to me since half of my school are newcomers to Canada. I created a drag and drop game to learn how to dress for weather, a drag and drop game to learn to make change, and a money matching game.
