Biographie
My name is Hannah Martin. I live in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia and a Grade 7 student at North Colchester High School. When at home I spend time playing my piano, listening to music, and experimenting with my camera. At school I belong to Soccer, Basketball and Track teams. I work at the school canteen and enjoy all my classes. I’m a hard worker and ranked first overall in grade 7 during my first term at N.C.H.S, earning me Honors with Distinction! Outside of school I keep quite busy. I play the snare drum, piano, and love swimming. I’m a long distance runner and have taken part in 5K and 8K runs in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Massachusetts. My hobbies include creating clay animation, painting, and drawing manga. I’ve won several art awards and have had my work locally published, and entered art in local exhibits. As for notable experiences, my school basketball team recently won 1st in the Jr. Girls’ regional championship. I experienced my first plane ride to Florida and visited Disney World in 2008. Finally, I won a trip to Canada Wide Science Fair in Ontario, after winning 4th overall at regional’s this year!

Sommaire:This project focused on creating a counter balance appliance that takes the weight of a 13 kilogram snare drum off the users abdominal area in order to reduce lower back pain. The intention is to place the weight back onto the shoulders before being directed down to the floor. This results in a more sensible and efficient method of carrying the weight.
