Biographie
My name is Savannah LeBlanc and I’m a grade twelve student at Cape Breton Highlands Academy. My project was inspired by my own experience with multiple choice testing. I often find that when I revise my answers I change them from right to wrong and I was curious if this happens to a lot of people. Also, I find English multiple choice more challenging than mathematics or science multiple choice which made me wonder if this is common. The neat thing about this project is that furthering it is limitless. Each time I’ve moved on to the next level I have added a piece and by adding more data to my project I keep finding out new things. I have always been eager to expand the sample pool as the bigger the numbers the more accurate the data. For those that wish to answer a pressing question they have I would suggest handing out surveys or tests. Your peers are often the best people to aid in your discoveries. Even though my project relates to social sciences I really feel that one of the most pressing scientific issue today is cancer is the search for a cure.

Sommaire:My project looks at the effects of studying and revising for multiple choice testing. By analyzing two video tests, one administered before watching the related clips and one afterwards, my projects shows that guessing isn’t successful. Also, the data collected from IQ related tests suggests that students often revise answers from wrong to wrong. Age and subject of the question may influence one’s revision skills.
