| Raven Grenier is a Grade 8 honour roll student at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School. Raven played both volleyball and basketball on the STA school teams. She is an active member of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Outdoors Club. Raven is a championship level Irish dancer with the Nora Pickett Irish Dance Academy. Raven also performs with the Dancers of Damelahamid, a traditional Gitxsan dance company. She enjoys music and has played the piano for the past eight years as well as having spent a few years learning to play the violin. In grade seven she was the student council vice president and won the top academic award for her class. Marine biology has always been something that has interested Raven since it is such a diverse ecosystem that she hadn’t had an opportunity to learn about. |

I wanted to see where Fucus sp. was most abundant and what environmental factors would affect its distribution. I found that Fucus sp. was abundant in the upper intertidal zone because it is adapted to desiccation from exposure to air and sun when the tide is low. |
