Biographie
I attend grade ten at Vincent Massey High School in Brandon Manitoba. I am a member of my school track team and am also involved in the technical side of major production. Outside of school I volunteer to help with the sound booth at a local church. I also ride horses, attend a local youth group, and take piano lessons. My interests include kayaking, swimming, and programming. Once I finish high school I plan on pursuing engineering in university. I got the idea for my project mainly from the unit about ecosystems in grade ten science and noticing a large amount of algae at a lake near where I live. If I were to continue this project I would attempt to scale it up and also to experiment with different species of algae. The advice I would give to other students thinking about doing a project would be that if they put enough time into it, it would pay off.

Sommaire:The basic concept of this experiment was to see if common green lake algae could be used as a source of biodiesel. This would open the door to a new reliable and low emission fuel. It was determined that this is possible.
