Biographie
I am in grade 7 at South Shore Education Centre and I am from small village called Restoule in Northern Ontario. I enjoy building stuff like decks and sheds with my dad as well as forts and play in the woods around my house. I am passionate about playing piano and hope to one day be a professional pianist. I spend a lot of time outside and I got this idea when I realized that Global Warming was in the news a lot. My dad and I collect firewood every summer to heat my house and garage with our wood stove. I thought that Global Warming might be affecting the growth of plants positively after learning about carbon dioxide and photosynthesis in class. My dad and I collected tree samples to see if this was true. My favourite part of this project was the time I got to spend outside in the woods with my dad.

Sommaire:This study looked for positive effects of Global Warming on tree growth by comparing the growth rate of various species of trees over the last 20 years to older trees when they were 20 years old. Results indicate that new trees are not growing faster and in fact may actually be growing more slowly.
