| My name is Daniel O’Reilly, I am a grade 11, Principal's list student. This will be my fifth time attending CWSF. At the Regional CISE my project won a gold medal, Best in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Sciences, BC Nature Award, UNBC Mathematical Award, Best in Exhibition Award and the BCIC Innovator Scholarship. At school I actively participate in Leadership, serve as the Vice President of Rotary Interact, Vice President of the District Advisory Council, volunteer at a Seniors Nursing Home and the hospital. I love music and play the acoustic and electric guitar, bass and piano. Most recently I was named the 2016 Youth of the Year and in January I was chosen to represent Canada in Taiwan at the International Science Fair with my 2015 CWSF project. My project was awarded a bronze medal. I also enjoy travelling and hope to see the world one day. This project was inspired by my own curiosity. The best advice I can give to students that are thinking about doing a project is, “Just Do It" and the results could amaze you! My career goal is to continue with sciences. |
