In my free time i enjoy running, and playing soccer. Physical activity plays a huge role in my everyday life, along with academics. I have been involved in public speaking for 5 years and I won overall speaker for all grade levels this year. For all three years in junior high I have been on the Student Council. I am a french immersion student, and i have volunteered at the fortress of louisbourg every summer since 1996, and have been practising my french there for 3 summers. I participated in encounters with canada in the previous year in Ottawa. I am a highland dancer since I was 4, keeping my scottish heritage active. I am very excited to be participating in the national science fair for the first time this year, and I hope that this isn't my last.

Sommaire:This project examines the educational quality of children’s programming. Using 8 top rated children’s shows, their educational content was evaluated in three main areas: math (counting, addition, subtraction), language (words, letters, rhymes) and other (colors, shapes, second language). For each of the 8 programs, 10 episodes were watched to determine which program was the best overall in educational content using a tallying system.
