| My name is Arathi Unnikrishnan, and I am a grade 9 student at Aurora Charter School in Edmonton, AB. This is my second time participating in the Canada Wide Science Fair, and I have to admit that it has been one of the greatest experiences of my life! Besides my interest in several Sciences, I am also greatly fascinated by music. I have been singing since the age of 4, and have done several stage performances. As well, I volunteer at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Edmonton, AB, and I find deep pleasure in helping out hospitalized patients, and providing assistance to the nurses whenever I can. Although I have not yet made a decision on my future area of study, I have great interest in scientific subjects, especially astrophysics and psychology. My courier choices extend from being an astrophysicist, to a psychologist. |

The Effects of Gender and Age on Audio and Visual Learning

My test subjects were divided into 2 categories according to their age: first and second groups consisted of 100 kids each,from the grades 4-6, and 7-9. They were tested using 2 National Geographic clips--one as audio, and the other as visual. |
