| Abby - Abby Calarco is a grade seven honour student at Land of Lakes Senior Public School in Burk's Falls, Ontario. Her favourite subjects are math, gym and science. She enjoys sports and plays on every school team. Hockey is her favourite sport. She plays as left wing on the Almaguin Gazelles, an all-girls team. Abby is also working on her Bronze Medallion in swimming and is a member of her school's Student Council. She volunteers for the Burk's Falls Figure Skating Club, the breakfast club and is part of her school's "Me-to-We" group. Abby enjoys biking, swimming, and hanging out with friends and her three pugs. This is Abby's first time in CWSF and is honoured to be a part of it. | | Emily Anne - Emily Rutledge is a grade 7 honour student in Land of Lakes Public School. She is in french immersion and her favourite subjects are English, Science, French, Art, and Gym. Emily is also a member of the school club "Me-to-We", a group of young teenagers helping to change the world. Emily has a passion for many sports including soccer, long distance running, volleyball, basketball, and hockey. Emily plays on the Almaguin Gazelles. Being number 11 for every sport played is a plus because you get to be #1 twice. Emily lives in the outskirts of Burk's Falls and loves to hang out with friends and family. When people get to know her, they will best describe her as smiley and loves to laugh. She can also sing, play the trombone, guitar, and piano. When Emily isn't playing an instrument or studying for classes, she loves to spend her time playing with her 4 year old chocolate lab Duke or getting outside and keeping active. Emily would love to be an optometrist in her future. This is Emily’s first year participating in science fairs. She is very excited and honoured to have the opportunity to attend CWSF. |
