Ream - I am a very hardworking and conscientious student, achieving high grades each year. I have received the honour roll award each year in high school for maintaining a high average. At school I have always been very active by participating in many different activities and clubs. Some of these clubs and the positions I hold in each are; Green it Up Group- project coordinator, United Nations Interact Club- Secretary, OSAID Club (Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving) – president, Student Voice Group- member. Some of the extracurricular activities I have participated in are, volunteering at homeless dinners, The International Villages Festival, YMCA Immigrant Settlement Services and more. I am also a member of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC), and the president of a Girls Youth Group in my community. In addition, for 3 years I have participated in a Science & Engineering Fair (BASEF) in which I have received numerous awards, gold & silver medals, & cash/tuition prizes. Some of the awards include, Dr. Doyle Award, McMaster Regenerative Medicine Award, American Meteorological Society Award, Hidden Science Award and more. My hobbies/interests are sewing, arts & crafts, shopping & computers. My plans for post secondary are to study Health Sciences/Biomedical Sciences. | Emma - I am a grade 12 student. I am involved in the UN/Interact club and am a member of Anti-Bullying at my high school. I have been on the honour roll each year of high school and have recieved awards in English and World History. I hope to go to the University of Waterloo next year to study anthropology and archaeology. My passion for ancient history and archaeology stems from a program I saw on Ancient Egyptian culture and mummification practices when I was six years old. When I am not busy doing homework, I can usually be found reading classic novels, watching the Discovery or History Channel, or at the mall. |

Photographs were taken of the planaria and analyzed to compare regeneration in the different groups for each day of the seven day trial. The overall health of the planaria in each group was also observed. |
