Biographies
Aleksandra - My name is Aleksandra, and I was born in Russia. I come from a multi-cultural background, half Ukrainian, half Russian. I immigrated to Canada with my parents at the age of 8. I study at Hudson College and I am in grade 10. My favourite subjects at school, are biology, chemistry and math. Some of my extra curricular activities include; Ukrainian dancing, volleyball, basketball and singing. During the summer I work as Camp Counsellor, as I truly enjoy taking care of kids. I completed the First Aid & CPR course to be prepared for children care. I have taken part in many speech and mathematic contests. When I graduate, I want to proceed in the Life Science field and become a doctor. My inspiration came from school, because many students eat fast food for lunch everyday. It motivated me to research how healthy fast food is. I came across many articles stating that fast food can last for months without moulding . My further plans would be to get the burgers tested in a laboratory and find out what other secret preservatives are added. My advice is to work hard and never give up.
Jose - I recently moved from Florida to Toronto and I was shocked that this being my second year here, I am able to represent Toronto for the Canada wide science fair. I hope to one day pursue a career in acting since that is what I love to do.
