Kenny Patel is a motivated grade 7 student at Brockville Collegiate Institute. Incredibly passionate about making a change, she aspires to make a difference in the lives of all around her. She fuels her interest in music and is currently completing her Grade 7 Certification at the Royal Conservatory of Music in piano. Basketball, Soccer, Badminton, and Track and Field are sports she enjoys playing at school and recreationally. She is currently working towards her Lifeguard Certification and First Aid, and is completing her Bronze Medallion swimming course. She volunteers at many local community events. She encourages others to explore common issues that are faced, and strive to create simple but effective solutions, preferably linked to passions they possess. She would like to further explore the results she obtained from her in vitro experiments, and perform in vivo tests to validate her conclusion. She hopes to modify current life-saving protocol for cardiac emergencies with her results, and potentially save lives during many time-sensitive situations. |
| Kenny Patel A (Not So) Hard Pill to Swallow
Défi: | Découverte | Catégorie: | Junior | Région: | Rideau-St. Lawrence | Ville: | Brockville, ON | École: | Brockville Collegiate Institute | Sommaire: | Pain is a sensation known to all, endured by few. Most succumb to “immediate” pain relief medications such as Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, and Aspirin. Although medications have a standardized ingestion protocol, the temperature of the water consumed varies. Medications were tested for dissolving times in cold and warm water, to find the optimal temperature, to increase efficiency. Significant results were found for critical life-saving drug Aspirin. |
