Kimia Sorouri attended the SciTech Program at Tomken Road Middle School that nurtured her passion for science. Kimia enjoys taking part in school sports, such as archery, as well as activities outside of school such as ballet and visual arts. She is pursuing her passion for science at Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School at the International Business and Technology Program (IBT), gaining an understanding for the commercial aspects of science in the modern world. In addition, the IBT program has also given Kimia an enjoyment for mathematics. She is an executive member of the Math Club at her school and also a Math Tutor. With goals of doing scientific research around the world, Kimia is learning her fourth language and wishes to learn many more languages in the future. Furthermore, Kimia’s work with her Student Activity Council (SAC) has enabled her to encourage a healthier school environment and through her volunteer work at the Credit Valley Hospital, she supports a healthier community. Kimia hopes to work towards a healthier global environment during her post-secondary education whether in Ontario or abroad. |
