Biographie
Loral and her family live on a broiler chicken and red deer farm in rural Midwestern Ontario. Loral is a grade seven student at Arran-Tara Elementary School. She is the secretary of the student council. Loral is very involved in the “Me to We” campaign to build a school in Sierra Leone. She actively participates in the school drama club she founded. Loral enjoys swimming, playing soccer, snowmobiling and figure skating. She represents her community well on and off the ice at skating competitions. Loral was very enthusiastic about the Vancouver 2010 winter Olympics. It started last fall when her best friend was chosen to carry the torch. She supported her friend during a winter blizzard holding up Olympic rings made out of hula hoops. Loral enjoyed collecting the Olympic coins and putting them in collector cards. In the summer she has fun with her family and friends at her cottage boating and tubing. Loral feels that green energy is tomorrow’s energy and that it is important to take care of our environment. Last year Loral won best of the fair at the Bluewater Junior Regional Science Fair. This is Loral’s first year participating at the Canada-Wide Science Fair.
