Erik - My name is Erik Boyes. I am in grade 11 and currently going to Churchill Community High School. After i graduate i plan to go to the U of S. I'm interested in biology, astronomy and literature so i will probably be studying those. We got the idea for our project by driving our friends around town. We wanted to save money so we asked ourselves how we could save fuel. We came up with the idea that a gas with a higher octane will give us much better mileage that it will save us money and time at the pumps. For further investigations we plan on using larger size engines in our experiments, including a diesel engine. If i had any advice to give, i would say to go with a project that interests you, a subject that actually has an impact on you.
Braden - I got the idea for this project when I was at the local gas station fuelling up with the regular fuel when I though "would the premium fuel last longer"? After getting in a group with Erik I ran the idea past him and he liked it so we went with it.

What Gas Gives You More

Sommaire:The project is about if a premium grade fuel will actually give you more in terms of mileage, throttle response and engine temperature. And why do diesel auto mobiles deliver superior torque and mileage then a gas engine.
