Biographie
My name is Beth Springer. I have gone to the Foam Lake Elementary School, and am now going to the Foam Lake Composite School. Some Community activities that I take part in are, dance, Curling, badminton, volleyball, cross country, and track. My hobbies are working on the farm, and spending time with family. I enjoy working with animals such as our cattle. I also really like dance, I have been taking dance sinse I was 4, and I plan to keep dancing until my graduation. Some of my awards and achievements include, winning 4-H provincial curling, getting the tap spirit award in dance along with a gold medal, getting 1st place in districs cross-country in gradees 6, 7, and 8, and getting a bronze medal at last years Canada Wide Science fair. I have had the chance to go to CWSF for three years now. I wanted to do this project because I am interested in testing and comparing alternative fuel sources. I also want to find a more sustainable fuel that is better for the environment. If I were to do this project again, I would look for other organic matter to use as my waste.

Does Your Wood Have Gas? Part Two
Défi:Environnement
Catégorie:Intermédiaire
Région:Parkland
Ville:Foam Lake , SK
École:Foam Lake Composite High School
Sommaire:For my project, I was testing to see if I was able to produce wood gas, created from biochar, and purify it enough to run it on an engine. I tested to see if the wood gas I produced was pure enough by lighting it with a torch before testing it a 4-cylinder natural gas engine.
