Hi! I am a grade 9 student from Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School. I have always enjoyed math and science, and this is my second year competing at CWSF. Besides math and science, I also enjoy drawing, music, and helping others. For my project this year, I wanted to help Canada's newest immigrants learn English more efficiently. I looked at how language through music, audio, and visual stimulants reacts in our brain. I plan to further continue my investigations by using the same testing methods with brain injury victims and Alzheimer's patients. My end goal with my research is to create a specialized learning curriculum combining multiple senses to enhance language acquisition. |

This research can be used to help immigrants coming into Canada with little English, brain injuries victims who have lost their language abilities, and children with learning disabilities struggling to comprehend their first language. |
