| I am in grade 7 at South Shore Education Centre and I am from small village called Restoule in Northern Ontario. I enjoy building stuff like decks and sheds with my dad as well as forts and play in the woods around my house. I am passionate about playing piano and hope to one day be a professional pianist. I spend a lot of time outside and I got this idea when I realized that Global Warming was in the news a lot. My dad and I collect firewood every summer to heat my house and garage with our wood stove. I thought that Global Warming might be affecting the growth of plants positively after learning about carbon dioxide and photosynthesis in class. My dad and I collected tree samples to see if this was true. My favourite part of this project was the time I got to spend outside in the woods with my dad. |

Results indicate that new trees are not growing faster and in fact may actually be growing more slowly. |
