Biographies
Ashley - Hi, my name is Ashley Miller. I go to Cornerstone Christian School and I am in Grade 9. I played volleyball and basketball on my schools sports team. My hobbies and interests are playing the bass guitar, volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse, and watching hockey. Though I have certain interests, I do not have a definite career plan at this time. I would love to travel and have always dreamed of doing that. I have participated in the Kiwanis Regional Science Fair here in Medicine Hat for two years and have won 6 awards.
Rashni - My name is Rashni Augustine. This is my second time as a finalist in CWSF. I am in Grade 9 at Cornerstone Christian School in Medicine Hat, Alberta. I love my school and I think this is the best place to grow academically and in my character. My interests include playing piano, listening to music of the 80s, badminton, fishing and reading books. I also love to collect coins, stamps and rocks. Between school work and other activities, I find time to watch “I Love Lucy” shows on DVD. As part of community activities in school, we work with the local food bank, shovel snow in the neighborhood and visit the elderly in nursing homes. I regularly take part in Remembrance Day competitions each year and win prizes in the categories of arts and poems. I love traveling and have visited more than 10 different countries. My favorite place is India. The beach, various fruits like tender coconut, mangoes, guava and variety of other foods brings fond memories making me want to go back. I would like to pursue a career in financial investments when I grow older, work little, enjoy life and fulfill the purpose God created me for.
